Knightsbridge International Schools Panama supports student learning through the appropriate and ethical use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Rapidly changing ICT impacts all spheres of economic and social life, frequently requiring users to adapt and master new ICT competencies. Effective and efficient use of ICT relies upon a comfortable appreciation and understanding of ICT fundamentals, independent of platform or software environments.

At KSI Panama we understand the need for students to investigate, participate, create and communicate using ICT.  We endeavor to facilitate learning through the appropriate and meaningful use of ICT and to encourage all students to become discerning, ethical, responsible and safe users of ICT.

Technology offers students an avenue to succeed as citizens in a global society in which information technology is growing at an incredible rate. Technology can improve communication, enhance thinking skills, make instruction more efficient and effective, and develop life skills critical for success.  KSI Panama incorporates technology as a means of integrating curriculum across subject areas.  Students and educators use technology on a daily basis as an integral part of the educational program.

“Technology can be an appropriate vehicle for promoting meaningful, engaged learning. It allows students to work on authentic, meaningful, and challenging problems, similar to tasks performed by professionals in various disciplines; to interact with data in ways that allow student-directed learning; to build knowledge collaboratively; and to interact with professionals in the field.  Technologies also can be used to promote the development of higher-order thinking skills and allow opportunities for teachers to act as facilitators or guides and often as a co-learner with the students.” - (North Central Regional Educational Laboratory)
