Students at Knightsbridge Schools International Panama celebrate United Nations Day, a day to celebrate everything that the UN represents and has achieved since its establishment in 1945. Students dressed up for the occasion, selecting a country they wished to represent. For the past 22 years Panama’s Model United Nations has provided students with a platform to discuss pressing issues in the world. PANAMUN gives students the chance, increasing their awareness of current events and the necessity to address them as they arise while they nurture and demonstrate their public speaking abilities. Today was World Autism Awareness Day and at KSI Panama we wore light blue in support of our friends with Autism or living with Autism. We discussed Autism in our weekly assemblies and we look forward to having a special guest speaker come to school on Thursday to share with us what it is like to live with Autism.)

On Thursday and Friday, KSI Panama held their second set of Student-Led Conferences (SLC). This format for conferencing is more informative for all participants than traditional Parent-Teacher Conferences. Students have an opportunity to reflect on their growth and prepare to share with their parents what they feel is going well and where they would like to continue to focus on improving.
